The artistic candle arch with two miners in traditional costume holding the town's coat of arms on the market square in front of the town hall is a reminder of the mining tradition of the Ore Mountains town of Scheibenberg. The place is an ideal starting point for hikes. The basalt columns of the "organ pipes" are definitely worth seeing.

City of Disc Mountain
Disc mountain is a small mountain town in the Erzgebirge district in Saxony with around 2100 inhabitants.
Disc mountain is located on the north-west slope of the mountain of the same name. It is one of the three mesas of the upper Ore Mountains. It's not the tallest of the three, but probably the most beautiful. Its location and the openness to the west ensure a very special local climate on and around it.
In the center of the city is the market square which is lined with many roses.
Not far from there is the Ev.-Luth. St.-Johannis-Kirche, you shouldn't miss to visit this (possible after prior telephone registration, Tel. 037349 8308).
In 2022, Disc Mountain and the Disc Berger Church celebrated their 500th anniversary.
The lovingly decorated place and the many celebrations testify to the connection between the residents and their city.
