With 800 years of tradition and 1,000 ore veins, the Freiberg silver mine is one of the largest and oldest in Saxony.
There is something for everyone in the Freiberg silver mine. The underground educational trail is particularly recommended for children (from the age of 6) and people (also older than 75 years) who are visiting a mine for the first time.
The silver mine offers three different tours for the open pit with all its winding corridors and tunnels. More information about the pit tour, adventure tour and expert tour can be found here.
