      From here you not only have a view of Freiberg but you are also on an old dump that belongs to the TU. There is an exhibition in the building which can only be entered on a guided tour. The site is freely accessible during opening hours.

                  The Alte Elisabeth Fundgrube is a historic pit in Saxony that originally had a find pit, but this was replaced by a more modern pit in the early 19th century. The facility is Saxony's oldest mining museum and was handed over to the Bergakademie in 1913 as a teaching and visitor mine. Today you can visit the almost original steam engine from 1848 and see the Schwarzenberg blower.
