You can take a short break on the banks of the Frankenberger pond. The idyllic pond is in close proximity to Goslar. On the bank you will find an information board with a hiking map of the region.

The Frankenberger Teich is a very old reservoir west of the old town of Goslar. It is located in the Steinberg district at the foot of the mountain of the same name.
The artificial body of water measures approximately 60 meters in length and 50 meters in width. It is fed by the small stream Trüllke, which has its source on the southern slope of the Steinberg. There is a tiny islet to the west of the Frankenberger Teich.

A footpath leads along the south bank of the Frankenberger Teich. The start of the Goslar forest adventure trail is only a few meters away.

The Frankenberg pond is on the outskirts of Goslar, but it looks totally idyllic and like a small biotope. You don't even notice how close you are to the city and the benches around it invite you to take a short break.
