Magnificent view of the fortress and the university town of Corte in the heart of Corsica. Just a few minutes from the fortress you are in the middle of nature.

Corte is located on a high plateau at an altitude of 436 m at the confluence of the Restonica and Tavignano rivers. It has 7,654 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2021) and is the seat of the sub-prefecture of the arrondissement of the same name.

The town of Corte, nestled in the heart of Corsica and its verdant mountains, was once the island's administrative and cultural capital. From this past, Corte has preserved a rich architectural and cultural heritage, which can be discovered while strolling through the cobbled streets of the old town or visiting the imposing citadel that dominates the town. Once you've explored the town, you can embark on the many walks, hikes, and tourist routes that crisscross the region.

Great hike with an amazing reward of bathing in the under bridge pools. We did it in the month of June and since during the first part of the hike you are walking without protection of trees and between really hot rocks, it was particularly hard but with sufficient water, sun protection and hat it will be a great and beautiful adventure.
