It is a simply spectacular port that unites the regions of Conflent and Capcir. It is one of the most beautiful ports in the easternmost Pyrenees. Best ridden from the eastern side (via Rouze and Mijanes) the climb is tough but the views are incredible and the route up offers a bit of everything. Start climb from Olette, it is amazing climbe, start easy at first but end is quiet steep, any way view is remarkable, landscape more like somwher in the south Asia, was quiet a fun!

If you hike the GR10, you should take your break in the back of the lake. There is too much hustle and bustle at the front of the dam. But it has to be a big panaché. 😄
