A sad episode in German history: Today's Wettin Barracks in Frankenberg was also part of this crime, as it housed the concentration camp guards. The Wehrmacht frequently participated in the crimes of the Nazi repressive apparatus and was largely controlled by the Nazi regime. With the exception of the assassination attempt on July 20, this occurred without significant resistance. Certainly worth a visit, but inappropriate while out for a run in your tracksuit. The Anna ferry awaits you for a crossing across the Zschopau River for adults, children, and bicycles during the season from April to October. The ferry has a tradition dating back to the mid-19th century. Numerous legends and stories are associated with it. The ferryman will be happy to tell you more during the crossing. The ferry connects the popular hiking trails on the left bank of the Zschopau River (near the Wasserschänke) with the legendary and famous Bruhmsteig trail.
