This idyllic rest area with a table and several benches is located directly on the young Nahe. It invites you to take a short break. The Rötelsteinpfad - a great hiking trail - leads directly past the rest area.

The remains of this Celtic rampart date back to a time when the defensive wall protected the southwestern summit of the Momberg. Today, the climb to the Momberg offers not only historical insights, but also beautiful views of the St. Wendeler Land.

A small path leads through the idyllic gorge. Here you can enjoy the special surroundings up close. The gorge is also part of the Rötelstein hiking trail, which is highly recommended.
