A beautifully natural path leads from Ahrbrück to an easy crossing of the Auschsbach stream and then continues up the Auschsbach valley to the Steinberg House. There are no stepping stones in case the normally shallow stream level rises after heavy rain. The stream's power is evident in the approximately 1-meter-high bank erosion above the ford and further upstream, where the streambed is reinforced with large basalt boulders.

A wonderfully peaceful bench overlooking Ahrbrück, perfect for comfortably enjoying the warm sunshine of the Ahr Valley climate. There is no trash can at the site; please leave it as nature left it.

From the marked spot you do have a view of the Ahr valley near Altenahr, but the view is not particularly impressive...
