Lavaudieu, literally "the valley of God", is a pretty village on the Senouire. It is built around a Benedictine abbey from the Middle Ages and is labeled "The most beautiful villages in France".
View of the Blot cliffs from the road (very pleasant by bike, and little traffic). These cliffs are called basalt columns. They are made of basalt, volcanic rock made from cooled magma.
This part offers a beautiful view of the village of Saint-Pal-de-Senouire. We can see the Saint-Paul church which sits at the top of the rocky promontory on which the village was built.
