The steep section is a section of the Nürburgring's Nordschleife that is no longer used. The gradient of up to 27% on Germany's steepest road was a particularly tough test for motor vehicles of the time, and still is for cyclists today!

Always drive against the direction of the Nürburgring. Then you will see the cars for longer. If you don't want to see the ring activities, just turn off into the forest and look for wildlife.
