Voie Verte를 따라 Monthermé 마을로 미끄러지듯 들어가면, 마을의 역사가 건물 외관에 여전히 남아 있음을 알 수 있습니다. 수세기 동안 뗏목꾼, 대장간, 소규모 산업이 리듬을 결정했던 마스 강은 이곳의 삶의 터전이었습니다. 오늘날에는 그 흔적의 고요한 메아리 — 언덕에 자리한 자연석 주택, 노동자들이 매일 오르내리던 넓은 계단, 그리고 강을 중심으로 형성된 마을 중심부를 주로 볼 수 있습니다.

슬루이스 44호 – Joigny‑sur‑Meuse 아르덴 고지대 사이에 자리한 이 수문은 메우스 계곡의 굽이진 곳에 있으며 Joigny‑sur‑Meuse 바로 외곽에 있습니다. 수문은 높은 아르덴 경사면 사이에 자리 잡고 있으며, 운하와 강이 나란히 흐르는 모습을 볼 수 있는 아름다운 순간을 선사합니다. 오래된 수문지기 집과 계곡을 향한 탁 트인 전망은 Charleville‑Mézières – Givet 구간의 작지만 매력적인 휴식처를 만들어 줍니다.

A superb section of play amidst the rocky terrain. Take this short detour to admire the ruins of Linchamps Castle, a medieval fort whose origins are uncertain due to a lack of documentation.

A must-see in the region. It would be a shame not to stop there.

What a gem! Unique place, unique character, sandwiches and waffles made with dedication! And also a selection of beers for every connoisseur in case you are at the end of your ride! The house was built in 1875, but inside you feel trapped between the 70s and the 90s ;) Behind the house, you can take a short, but intense gravel short cut ending in a great street to climb up to Roc La Tour (which you will have to if you are around).

In a bucolic setting, from the banks of the Meuse Canal, you can enjoy a clear view of the village of Château-Regnault-Bogny. The building facades are a reminder that the region was once marked by industrial settlements.
