Le Chesne is located on the watershed of the Aisne and Meuse basins, on a passage to the Argonne, the "Défilé du Chesne-Populeux". In the église Saint Jacques (13th-15th century) with a square tower there is a marble statue of Saint Bernard in bishop's robes (16th century) from the Abbaye du Mont-Dieu.

This portion is located along the Old Pond and its reed bed, which were transformed into a nature reserve. The path runs alongside a few fields and follows the small Bairon stream. The bucolic setting is ideal for a family stroll.

Ecluse de Semuy is a lock on the Canal des Ardennes, a canal that connects the rivers Meuse and Aisne in France. The lock is located near the village of Semuy, in the Ardennes department, in the Grand Est region. There are four locks at Semuy, numbered 23 to 26, which are part of the long descent of 27 locks from Le Chesne to the branch to Vouzier. The lock has a drop of 3.70 meters and is suitable for ships of the Fréycinet type (38.5 meters long and 5.1 meters wide). The lock is operated by the skipper with a remote control that activates the lock. Once in the lock, the skipper pulls a blue pole located inside the lock to complete the operation.

The Moulin de la Tortue, an old corn mill with dam and wheel, is located on the course of the Longwé which marks the border between the municipalities of Voncq and Neuville-Day.
