Beautiful little chapel with information board and bench

Due to the road construction in the 50s and 60s, the chapel, which stood about 100 meters away from this place, fell into oblivion and decayed. It was built at the turn of the century in honor of Saint Ottilie, who helped against eye diseases, by Kaisersescher citizens. In 2002703, the new chapel was rebuilt by a former regulars' table. Today the chapel shows the holy Our Lady and Saint Ottilie in two wall niches. The Jewish cemetery, which has been there since 1920, was repeatedly desecrated during the Nazi era and is closed. Signs on the Jewish families of the city can be found at their eternal commemoration of the dairy and the parish hall

The Ottiliekapelle is part of the historical circular walk Kaisersesch. She is dedicated to Saint Ottilie, patroness of all eye patients. Beautifully restored and maintained, it stands on the outskirts of Kaisersesch and very close to the Jewish cemetery.
