Placed as Point de Vue at the end of the Moselle bridge, the new church from 1968 in the district of Cond draws an arc to history: »The walled Moselle slate fits into the surrounding landscape and presents the »Glaubensburg« as a counterpoint to the medieval Reichsburg Cochem on the opposite side Riverbank. The whitewashed church interior draws all attention to the furnishings, which in turn refer back to (salvation) history.« (Source: https://strasse-der-moderne.de/kirchen/cochem-cond-st-remaclus/) The plans for the church came from the well-known church architect Emil Steffan, who worked in Cologne, as well as his most important colleague Heinz Bienefeld, who would later become known for having built his own church.
