The Mosel is one of Germany's 13 official wine regions and is especially famous for its Riesling wines. The region's unique climate, steep slate slopes, and the sun's reflection off the river create ideal conditions for viticulture. The Treis-Karden Moselle bridge connects the two districts of Treis and Karden. In front of it, the Flaumbach flows into the Moselle. It's simply lovely to linger here and enjoy nature.

The Müden barrage is located in the Moselle near Müden and Treis-Karden in the Cochem-Zell district in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The Treis-Karden Moselle Bridge connects the two districts of Treis and Karden. The foundations of the current bridge come from the previous bridge that was destroyed in the Second World War and support the current structure.

Here you can cross the Moselle. We decided against it and drove through the nature reserve. It was a bit bumpy at the beginning but then it was a very beautiful route. You shouldn't take too much luggage with you though as the path is very narrow in places.

Behind Müden on the main road is this beautiful chapel of St. MARIEN. There used to be a chapel here too, which was often washed away by floods.

Inconspicuous from the outside, but equipped with some beautiful artifacts on the inside.

The collegiate church combines many architectural styles. The original building was Romanesque and was extended. Inside there are altars with figurative depictions. The main altar is made of terracotta and is well worth seeing. The history of the impressive complex is interesting. The monastery garden is also worth a visit.
