The present church in Hunolstein was built between 1907 and 1909. The old chapel from the 17th and 18th centuries, with its three-sided choir, was demolished at that time. A ceremonial laying of the foundation stone took place on August 18, 1908. The consecration of the new church was performed by Bishop Michael Felix Korum on May 27, 1909.

You should definitely take the entrance to the path (marked) on the right above the church, as the path climbs gently and steadily to the highest point. The individual tablets are also worth reading in this order.

Today's church in Hunolstein was built between 1907 and 1909 because the whalewood church had become too small for the growing population. The old chapel from the 17th and 18th centuries with a three-sided choir was demolished at that time. On August 18, 1908, the foundation stone was ceremoniously laid.
