The Seckerborn spring (also called "Brünnelschen") is located on the hilltop of Kahlenberg, northwest of Wendelsheim. The "Elsa Schmitt Tower" observation tower is located on the northern outskirts of the wine-growing community of Wendelsheim in the Rhine-Hesse region. Thanks to a generous donation from the town's namesake, the Verschönerungsverein 1886 e.V. (Beautification Association 1886 e.V.) was able to build the versatile tower with a rest area in 2019.

Butcher's or witch's tower "The butcher's tower was probably built with the city wall, which was already mentioned in the 13th century. The butcher's guild is mentioned as the guild that had to maintain it and defend it in war. In the 19th century, it was also called the witch's tower in the Romantic era because of its dilapidated and eerie appearance, although no witches were persecuted in Alzey - and even found asylum in the city. In 2019, the Old Town Association, with the help of the city administration, donated a protective roof to it, the shape of which was based on the historical Merian engraving from 1645."
