After the Galibier, if that's not enough for you, you can also get the Tèlègraphe.

Spectacular port on all its sides. The most famous slope is the one that goes up through Les Lacets de Montvernier. Once this section is over, there are about 10 km of constant climbing with very beautiful views of the Maurienne valley.

This is a place that definitely deserves a stop while touring. Cyclists, walkers, motorcyclists, mountain bikers, .... all can go there. (Catering business, parking, outdoor terrace, ...) Several picnic areas and information boards in the immediate vicinity.

The Col de la Loze is located in the high mountains, between the ski resorts of Morzine and Courchevel. A dedicated cycle path was created and opened in 2019. It is one of the highest cycle paths in the world and an excellent cycling experience. The Col de la Loze from Brides-les-Bains is 22.44 kilometers long with a total elevation gain of 1,715 meters. The average slope is 7.64% with maximum slopes of 20%. If you want, you can start from either ski resort and only do the last few miles, but be careful, these are probably the hardest!

The ascent to the summit to the Pointe de l'Obersavatoire starts from the col. The path runs along the right edge of the mountain flank. In early summer, when this path is still under an old snowfield, you can climb up about the middle of the flank, there are a number of path tracks here. (Just don't go too far to the left, get into the block area). You can get up to the ridge without any major difficulties, from there traverse between the upper edge of the snowfield and the ridge to the summit.

From here it's only a good 100 m ascent to the Point de l'Observatoire.

It's essential to pass the Télégraphe test before tackling the Galibier. The name "Télégraphe" is strange, but the explanation for its name is quite simple: this mid-level pass, with an altitude of 1,565 meters, takes its name from the fort that was built there between 1885 and 1893. This fort no longer exists today. The Relais du Télégraphe will instead offer you refreshments, supplies, and meals.

Not easy to get to, but the view is just lovely. It is definitely worth climbing the Pointe de l'Observatoire and enjoying the view of Mont Blanc.

Most beautiful climb in the area, little to no traffic and a fantastic serpentine road.
