The mill is ideally situated on the Weser cycle path network. The combination of a historical monument and excellent cuisine makes it a worthwhile stop in the region.

It is particularly beautiful here in autumn when the leaves are falling and we can take a wonderful walk through the foliage. We continue along Wittekindallee in the direction of Portastraße to the Botanical Garden of the city of Minden. From here a path leads through the glacis to the Schiffmühle, where we can visit the building (free of charge). - There is also a restaurant with a beer garden that offers culinary highlights (German cuisine). If the weather is nice, we can have a picnic right on the Weser.
