Unfortunately, large sections of the city wall have been reduced in size—presumably to give residents a better view. But, in conjunction with the well-kept old half-timbered houses, it's absolutely worth seeing.

The new viewing platform offers an excellent view of the Mittelland Canal and the Weser River. This perspective allows you to observe the ships sailing along the canal and marvel at the impressive structure of the waterway crossing.
