The parking lot at Schöllerhof is also a stop for the Bergischer WanderBus (Bergisch Hiking Bus). On weekends and holidays, you can take it to Wermelskirchen and from there enjoy a fantastic hike through the Eifgenbach valley back to the parking lot 👍🏼

Anyone interested in the history of the Bergisches Land region should not only visit Burg Castle in Solingen but also travel to Odenthal-Altenberg. On the Bergisches Land Trail No. 6, you'll learn that the cradle of the Bergisches Land originated in Altenberg. The "cradle of the Bergisches Land" is the region around Berge Castle near Odenthal-Altenberg, where the Counts of Berg had their first ancestral seat before moving to Burg Castle.
