Aptly named „Long Water“, this is one of the numerous lakes in the nature reserves east of Gothenburg. Since it is not very well known and can only be reached via longer walks, it is usually quite peaceful.

A good spot to stop for supplies and a bit of culture while hiking Gotalenden. Plenty of options for food and drink, and don't miss the excellent Industrial History museum.

Just a short walk from Jonsered, this is a wonderful spot for a swim. There's a small sandy beach, a jetty, and a floating jump platform. A little kiosk sells drinks and snacks on sunny days.

This is a stunning spot on the shore of Lake Aspen. Stop off here for a swim, or simply to enjoy the views over the water. This is also a great place for some birdwatching. Look out for herons in the water and along the shoreline.

A small but beautiful lake hidden deep in the Knipeflågsbergen Nature Reserve. Blacktjkärn is said to be guarded by seven invisible creatures. Take a break by the edge of the lake, or take a dip in its mysterious dark waters. Knipeflågsbergen is a vast bedrock plateau. The biodiversity here is exceptional, and you may spot moose and deer, as well as hares, foxes and badgers.

Outhouse with a portable toilet interior. A great solution for an emergency, since there is no sewage disposal in the nature reserve.
