Halimasjärvi nature reserve and swimming spot.

The Halimasjärvi Nature Reserve, located between Atala, Kumpula, and Risso, is an excellent destination for a hike—even for the whole family. Outdoor activities and relaxation are best enjoyed along the trail that circles Halimasjärvi, parts of which run on duckboards. From the duckboard trail, you can take a detour up terrain steps to the rocky eastern shore to admire the scenery. The trail cannot be ridden by bike, but I locked my bike to the signpost poles. Great views can also be found just a few steps from the bike path.

Vesijärvi is a scenic lake that’s easy to reach and ideal for a short break. You can stop to enjoy the view, have a snack, or dip your feet in the water.

Stop for a moment at the panoramic viewpoint over Havisevanlahti Bay. From here, you get a wide, peaceful view of the lake, framed by forested shores and distant hills. There’s no shelter or services, so bring water and a windbreaker if it’s breezy. Ideal spot for a quick photo or snack break.
