This is the trailhead for the route to the Moronvuori hit. An out and back to the hut is around 4-kilometres, making for a splendid little run.

The Valkmusa National Park, established in 1996, is best known for its unique moorland landscape, as seen here. It is home to various bird species, including the crane, osprey, redshank, ptarmigan, and wood bunting. Additionally, migratory birds use the national park as a resting area.

The Moronvuori Day-Use Hut is located along the Moronvuori Hill Trail in Valkmusa National Park. The hut is available for daytime use as a resting spot. Inside, you will find a wood-burning stove and a supply of dry firewood. Additionally, there is a fire pit in front of the hut.

Mansikkalahti Beach is a popular seaside spot in Kotka, located close to the city centre and easily accessible by bike. It offers a sandy shoreline, calm waters, and basic facilities, making it a great place to relax after a ride. The area is suitable for swimming, sunbathing, and light beach activities, and there's a nearby playground for families. It's also a good starting point for exploring the surrounding coastal parks and trails. The beach is part of the wider Katariina area, so it's easy to combine with a visit to Katariina Seaside Park.
