Hämeenkyrö is a peaceful municipality in the Pirkanmaa region, about 36 km from Tampere. Known for its scenic landscapes of lakes, forests, and rolling countryside, it’s a great spot for outdoor activities. The area is also famous as the birthplace of Nobel Prize-winning author Frans Eemil Sillanpää. Though small, Hämeenkyrö offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

The Seitseminen Nature Center is open year-round, giving you a chance to explore local flora and fauna through its exhibitions. Riding in the national park, you immerse yourself in the beautiful surrounding landscape. Here, you can take a break with a warm drink in the cozy café.

There is a campsite at the small lake Kirkaslampi. Even if you don't spend the night here, it's still a nice place for a break.

Quaint swamp area with three ponds. You will pass here over a well-built boardwalk. There is also a shelter next to the parking lots.

Nice little lake. A wild and unspoiled piece of nature.
