The Three-Country Cairn is the tripoint at which the international borders of Sweden, Norway and Finland meet. Fun fact: it is the northernmost international tripoint in the world.

Inside, they've got the lowdown on the local nature and Nordic life in their exhibition. Think of it as your starting intel before you hit the trails.

This waterfall, about 8 meters high, is located along the Saukkovaaran trail, in the middle of a protected forest area. The water cascades powerfully down a steep rock face and spreads out like a white fan over the rocks. The waterfall is most impressive at higher water levels, but even without much water, it's still a stunning sight.

This little wilderness hut lies at the southeastern entrance to the Isokuru gorge, the deepest in Finland. It's a fine place to enjoy a snack before or after taking on the trails through the spectacular gorge.

Iisakkipää Fell rises to around 454 metres above sea level and provides sumptuous views across the Lapland landscape. The summit is relatively easily reached from Saariselkä.

Thanks to this boardwalk, you can venture deep into this remote, rugged landscape.
