Whether on skis, snowshoes or on foot - a small highlight with a view

This is the entrance to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. From Hotel Jeris, you hike into the forests of Tunturinvierimaa and eventually return. It's an entry point that immediately immerses you in the atmosphere of the national park.

Nice lake that feels like being in the middle of wilderness, but is less than an hour walk from nearest parking lots. Suitable for a refreshing dip! There is also a small open cabin (autiotupa) on the shore.

Small but cosy hut on the shore of Lake Keimiöjärvi. Camping at the site is also possible. Bringing a tent is a good idea since the hut can easily get full.

A prominent local peak. Not far away from paved road, but the trail is relatively steep in places. Lots of people were taking the trail on ruska season weekend.

Narrow, rocky path going around the fell - beautiful views all the way around, a nice detour from the official trail which only goes straight to the top. Northern half has a lot of small trees, long pants recommend.
