From the walls you can see the surrounding plain with the castle of Monsaraz to the north and the border with Spain to the east.

Pretty town near the Portugal-Spain border at the foot of the Ficalho hill that gives the town its name. It can be reached from Rosal de al Frontera (SP) by a picturesque road through the hill that crosses the border.

These swings can be found in many places in Portugal, but this one is more suited to standing than sitting. It offers a beautiful view of the castle, the reservoir, or the town.

The ladder was closed during our visit, even though the notices said it was open. But it was a hot day, and we were the only visitors for miles around.

Here you can clearly see the narrow and unsecured path on the castle wall on the right, and to the left and right it goes down a few meters.

A gigantic view opens up once you've climbed the wall. You shouldn't be afraid of heights, and you should have a certain degree of surefootedness. To the north, you can see Monsaraz.

There are several options for climbing, but some of them are very dilapidated.
