A warm hello to everyone! For over 100 years, the Hohwacht & Lippe Fishing Association has represented the interests of local fishermen and their families. It is the professional and part-time representative of fishermen in Hohwacht and Lippe. In keeping with the association's original purpose, it serves the fishermen in its area and promotes camaraderie. Fishing as an economic factor has been declining for years. The fishing association therefore preserves traditions and memories of the times when fishing in Hohwacht was a central source of family income and social cohesion in the community. With events held around the fishing huts in Alt-Hohwacht, we remain committed to tradition, our members, guests, and the community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and active participation in our events. The small former fishing village of Hohwacht has a very special attraction: right on the main beach there is a unique sea platform - the so-called "Hohwachter Flunder". It owes its unusual name to its unique shape, which is reminiscent of a flatfish. With its 24-meter-high steel pylon, which can be seen from afar, the pier has now become the most popular landmark of the Baltic Sea spa town of Hohwacht.
