Since 1976, Schönberg Beach has had a heritage railway. During the summer months, you can ride the historic trains on the line between Schönberg Baltic Sea Resort station and Schönberg Beach. Until the mid-20th century, this was still possible regularly with the so-called "Hein Schönberg." At that time, the line extended all the way to Kiel, crossing the Probstei region. Passenger service was largely discontinued in 1975. Since then, buses operated by the Plön District Transport Authority (VKP) have served as a replacement for the connection to Kiel. Lines 200, 201, and 210 serve Schönberg and Schönberg Beach.

A dedicated dog beach right next door delights owners and their best friends. Those who love kite flying will find 30 to 33 designated spots between the buoys in Schönberg-Brasilien where you can fly your kite.🐕🐕

The following panoramic photograph was taken on a May day in Schönberg-Brasilien (54°25'16.57"N - 10°23'59.96"E) directly above the dike. To the northwest, the RV park with the snack bar (yellow facade) is clearly visible. To the southeast is the "Hasselkrug" campsite. You won't find any vacation rentals or holiday homes in this area. The water sports school at Buhne 33 has already moved its equipment onto the beach on these May days and is preparing for the season on the middle beach.
