The 50kV station is a former transformer station at the former transmitter park Radio Kootwijk. The building is located approximately one and a half kilometers north of Building A and the rest of the transmitter park. The 50kV station was built between 1923 and 1931 to a design by architect Hendrik Fels.

What a beautiful concept. I wish there would be many more of these initiatives.

'Hello Bandung, this is Radio Kootwijk' Impressive... Surreal... Beautiful ... That's what comes to mind when I see this imposing building looming large. 'The concrete cathedral', that's what Radio Kootwijk's broadcasting station is popularly called. Architect Jules Luthmann is also said to have been inspired by the shapes of an Egyptian sphinx for his impressive design.
