I find the entire area very beautiful. You can spend a lot of time here getting to know all the trails. The observation tower itself isn't high, and from the top you can observe what's happening on the moor. There are also some information boards inside.

The Romanesque fieldstone church, the oldest parts of which date from around 1150, characterizes the townscape of Kirchwalsede with its striking exterior. It is open as a cycle path church, even for a cyclist's break. Info: https://www.kirche-bkv.de/Kirchwalsede

Anyone who doesn't know would simply walk past, but you can actually just make out 5 burial mounds along the path. An information board on site provides further explanations. The dead were buried here individually and the grave was used by several generations.
