The Maasplassen extend over a vast area of approximately 3,000 hectares, consisting of a network of lakes, ponds and canals created by gravel extraction. With clear blue water and surrounded by lush green banks, the Maasplassen offer a beautiful backdrop for all kinds of activities.

You should also point out that cycling is not allowed here, but you can push yourself 😉 Otherwise it's really nice here, especially in the evening hours.

Between the big and small De Wittsee there is a lot going on at the weekend and when the weather is nice, so it is much more pleasant here on the west bank.

The bike paths are very good in this corner, the two restaurants at the port of Asselt are cozy and invite you to take a break. Along the Maas there is always room for the Maas to expand.
