A lovely, gently winding path through varied scenery. Be careful of oncoming traffic on the bends – some people seem to think they can use the entire width of the path for themselves.

Beautiful old building in the center of Naarden.

Steep bridges dot the Netherlands, where cyclists can choose to dismount or continue on their own. Sometimes they have a gate because they connect to a busy road. Here, there's a gate on both sides. The result is a pleasantly peaceful experience.

The village is known for the many estates that wealthy Amsterdammers had built here in the 17th century. First, large quantities of sand were dug up and transported to Amsterdam by barge. This sand was used to build the famous canal belt, among other things. Stately summer residences were then built on the vacant plots. The showpiece is without a doubt the Trombenburgh house, from 1672, which lies like a ship in the water. The client was Cornelis Tromp, the son of naval hero Maarten Harpertsz Tromp. From the terrace on the roof you could see the ships on the Zuiderzee at the time.

A very beautifully preserved fortress town.

Please note that there is also a large part of the MTB course. It is a beautiful ride through the heathland of Hilversum Blaricum and part of the forest.

Beautiful view of the former royal palace - hopefully, despite all the changes of use in recent years, the property will be preserved for the future and become more easily accessible.

One of my favorite cycling pathes around! The playful up-and-downs, left- and-rights make you feel like on a roller coaster - a mountain biking experience to get on other bikes!
