Nice shortcut, quite narrow and with the fair number of bumps in the asphalt. Handy now that the bridge along the tram line is under maintenance; you can cycle around via this route.

The Vondelpark Pavilion in Amsterdam's Vondelpark was built between 1874 and 1881 by architect Willem Hamer Jr. in the Neo-Renaissance style and featured fluted Ionic half-columns, round-arched windows, and domed towers. The Bosbaan, built in 1937, is the oldest artificial rowing course in the world and a popular place for rowing training and competitions. From the shore near the restaurant you can often see rowers training hard or competing here. Follow the paths along the water to experience the activity up close, or walk further into the Amsterdamse Bos for a peaceful walk through nature.
