Some time ago, a few hundred meters of dead-end road for cars was converted into a bicycle street. This section of road was closed for months (no doubt because something else was built or replaced). I'm surprised that despite the fact that there's hardly any car traffic (only local residents, and there are very few of them), this section of road is littered with speed bumps. While you can cycle close to the sidewalk, still... Where many cities have beautiful bicycle streets, Hoorn has a lot to learn. I hope more good bicycle streets will be added in the future, but without speed bumps.
