The Gouwesluis Lift Bridge in Alphen aan den Rijn is a steel lift bridge dating from 1938 over the Gouwe River and a key part of the waterway between Alphen and Gouda. The bridge is a national monument and can be raised to approximately 35 meters to allow tall ships to pass. Along with similar bridges in Boskoop and Waddinxveen, it forms a characteristic feature of the region.

Gouwesluis lift bridge or Gouwesluis bridge is a lift bridge over the Gouwe near the hamlet of Gouwsluis in Alphen aan den Rijn. It is the most northerly lift bridge of three lift bridges over the Gouwe, next to the Hefbrug Boskoop and Hefbrug Waddinxveen, more to the south. The riveted steel lift bridge was built by the firm Kloos en Zn. from Kinderdijk and opened on September 14, 1938. The bridge has been a national monument since 2001, together with the associated bridge keeper's house and the floodgate with steel doors diagonally below it. The Alphense lift bridge or Gouwesluisbrug is a lift bridge from 1938 over the Gouwe in the South Holland town of Alphen aan den Rijn, near the hamlet of Gouwsluis. The bridge is located in the south of Alphen against the built-up area. It is the most northerly lift bridge of three lift bridges over the Gouwe, next to the more southern lift bridges in Boskoop and Waddinxveen. The riveted steel lift bridge was built by De Vries Robbé from Gorinchem. It has been a national monument since 2001, together with the accompanying bridge watchman's house and the bilge lock with steel doors located diagonally below it.
