The official name is Lange Weidsche Boezem and is part of the drainage system of the Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden and runs from the Dubbele Wiericke to the Hollandse IJssel.

The Haastrechtse Molen is a historic polder mill in Haastrecht, South Holland. Built in 1862, it originally served to drain the Vlistpolder. It is a round stone mill with a thatched roof. Today, the mill is operational and is often used on a voluntary basis for educational and cultural purposes.

For many cyclists/tour cyclists a well-known apple pie stop. Too busy for me on Sundays but what a nice village this is and how beautifully situated it is on the water

Certainly the better option than the main street on the other side of the Ijssel, but it can be quite busy / stressful with too much traffic e.g. on beautiful weekend days.

The Lekdijk overlooking Ameide offers a beautiful panorama over the river landscape and the picturesque village of Ameide. The dike itself is a popular place for a nice bike ride, where you can enjoy the view over the river Lek and the surrounding nature.
