The Nieuwerbrug drawbridge, also known as the toll bridge, is the only remaining private toll bridge in Western Europe and is located in Nieuwerbrug.

Along the route, you'll encounter a wide variety of polder windmills. These windmills were designed to pump water from low-lying areas and thus keep the land dry. The vast majority of the mills around the Kagerplassen lakes are characteristic hollow post mills with a cube-shaped upper house.

Fort Wierickerschans is a beautifully preserved fortification near Bodegraven, part of the historic Old Dutch Waterline.

Great segemnet, minorly protected by the dijk if the wind is coming from the North, it is a fun section for springt elements between your moments where you have to re-enter the road.
