The Poortgebouw (German: Gate Building) is the former headquarters of the Rotterdam Trade Association and is now a Dutch Rijksmonument.

Until 1969, the former Barendrecht Bridge over the Oude Maas River connected the island of IJsselmonde with the Hoeksche Waard. In addition to a fixed section, the bridge also has a movable section, a double bascule bridge. The lift bridge on the Rotterdam-Dordrecht railway line is located directly adjacent to the Stadsbrug (City Bridge). The bridge has been given various names in the Drechtsteden region. For example, residents of Zwijndrecht call it the "Dordtse Brug" (Dordrecht Bridge), while residents of Dordrecht refer to it as the "Zwijndrechtse Brug" (Zwijndrecht Bridge). The official name of Rijkswaterstaat (the bridge's owner) is Verkeersbrug Dordrecht (Road Bridge Dordrecht). The Cruise Terminal Rotterdam is located in the heart of the city, on the Erasmus Bridge. Anyone who docks here with a cruise ship has the best views of Rotterdam (I speak from personal experience). It's one of the most beautiful cruise terminals on the cruise route (metropolises departing from Hamburg with the AIDAperla).

The Jewish Children's Monument in Rotterdam commemorates the 686 Jewish children (ages 0–12) who were deported from Loods24 and perished in 1942–1943. The monument consists of a stainless steel arch bearing the names and ages of these children and is located near the old wall of Loods24 on the Kop van Zuid. It was unveiled in 2013 and has since been incorporated into educational projects and annual commemorations. In 2022, the artwork "Levens 10,000 stenen" (Lives 10,000 Stones) was added, commemorating all 10,000 Jews deported from Rotterdam.
