The designation F60 was derived from the original maximum excavation thickness of 60 m (30 m above and below). A total of nine different overburden conveyor belts ran on the bridge at speeds of up to 9 m/s.

F60 is the serial designation of five conveyor bridges in the Lausitz brown coal opencast mine. They were built by the former VEB TAKRAF Lauchhammer and are the largest mobile technical work machines in the world. As an overburden conveyor bridge, they transport the overburden that is stored above the coal seam. https://www.f60.de/

Absolutely worth seeing technology, the overburden conveyor bridge F60. The F60 conveyor bridge was used in the Klettwitz-Nord open-cast lignite mine near Klettwitz from 1991 to 1992 and is also known as the Eiffel Tower (Lusatia) because of its dimensions and comparable construction.
