What I noticed are the many restaurants with outdoor catering. The food offered is bourgeois with reasonable prices. There are also Bohemian, Italian or Greek. The Melanchton Gymnasium looks very nice. Next to it is the medieval church of St. Mary, which has some amazing (restored) vault paintings. Unfortunately, I had our dog with us. Worth seeing the Carl Marks villa in country house style in the botanical garden.

The city Herzberg / Elster was first mentioned in documents in 1234. The emergence of the city is suspected in 1215. Floor plan and silhouette have been largely preserved. Herzberg / Elster is located on the Schwarze Elster in the district of Elbe-Elster in the state of Brandenburg.
