Lake Seelisberg is approximately 800 meters long and 37 meters deep. There's a lovely beach (admission required) with a lakeside kiosk and campsite.

Here you stand directly above the Rütli meadow. A small footpath leads steeply down from Seelisberg to the Rütli meadow. From there, you can complete the hiking loop by boat or the Treibbahn cable car.

This is a stop on the Seelisberg History Trail. Signposts and several "story boxes" present key milestones in Central Swiss history around Lake Lucerne in a modern way. Both the location and the entire trail are highly recommended.
