The Neuhauser Weg is paved and runs straight through Forstenrieder Park. With a bit of luck, you might come across wild boars along the way.

There is also a small rest area in Forstenrieder Park with fresh water and an information board

Very nice beer garden, good food, and very friendly service. All in all, a highly recommended place for a rest. So: all's well that ends well.

Gabriel Seidl, known as Ritter von Seidl from 1900, was a German architect and representative of historicism and the Bavarian Heimatstil. In Munich, he designed the Bavarian National Museum, the German Museum, the Lenbach Villa (now a museum), the Künstlerhaus on Lenbachplatz, the Rondell at Stachus, the Church of St. Anna in Lehel and the Ruffini Houses on Rindermarkt, among others. It is thanks to the tireless efforts of Gabriel von Seidl and the Isar Valley Association that the Isar has been preserved as a local recreation area and the Isar Valley Association can now look back on a proud record: around 300 km of hiking trails and 60 km of cycle paths have been signposted, maintenance work has been carried out not only on its own hiking trails, and over 100 hectares of natural areas have been acquired. The monument shows the fighter for the Isar Valley as St. George fighting the dragon.

In honor of the Bavarian kings Ludwig I and Max II, the royal district forester and park master Heller had a group of oak trees planted in the so-called "Wiesmat" (former forest meadow) in 1858 in the shape of the initial letters of the kings' names (L M). The letters are about 80 meters tall. Despite the reforestation that has taken place in the meantime, the royal oak group is still clearly visible, especially from an aerial photograph.
