In the off-season or winter, you can take a break on the terrace, protected from the wind. From the saddle 50 m higher, you have a great view to the east.

The Mitter Hut is located about 50m below the saddle and offers a beautiful view towards the east/Glashütte. The hut is not open but you can have a nice rest there in the off-season/winter because it has a wind-protected veranda.

The unjustly overlooked "small" hut summit of the Tölzer Hütte.

The Mitterhütte is open during the grazing season from June to the end of September. There is no day off during this time. However, it may be that the Almerin is busy with work in the field or other tasks and is therefore not present for a short time. And there are many such tasks to be done in the hut and on the grounds. There is the usual food in the huts, i.e. bacon, sausage and cheese sandwiches, as well as the usual drinks, including milk from the farm's own sheep and goats. Here, at an altitude of 1054 m, is approximately halfway on the way to the Hochalm coming from the Sylvensteinsee. The hut is not open but offers beautiful views and space for a rest.
