The wayside cross on the Schmutter River near Achsheim is a small religious monument, quietly situated on the riverbank by a field and footpath. Today, the wayside cross is a familiar landmark for walkers, hikers, and runners, quietly connecting nature, everyday life, and the region's traditional piety.

The wonderful Gablingen Castle is located in the Augsburg district in the Swabian community of Gablingen. It consists of a high and long castle and is located above the Schmutter. The castle was built in the 16th century and was owned by the noble Fugger family. Over the centuries, the castle's owners changed several times. Today it is privately owned and not open to the public.
