In winter this place looks very barren. It is best to visit the Hexenfelsen in spring/summer when it is in bloom and green. With the shadows of the trees it works very well.

In the midst of a dense canopy of leaves, the gray witch's rock stands out and somehow wants to bring back to mind its tragic history, which was marked by fire. 34 women and 1 man, envied by the neighbors and citizens, perceived as different and slandered as witches, were burned alive on this striking rock, the municipal execution site of Nördlingen.
