The Planplatten are a striking vantage point above Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland, located at an elevation of 2,245 meters. They are the mountain destination of the cable car from Hasliberg Reuti via Bidmi, Mägisalp, and Käserstatt. Once at the top, a panoramic view opens up over the Central Swiss and Bernese Alps, all the way to Titlis, Sustenhorn, and Wetterhorn. Popular hikes include the Alpine Panorama Trail and the Ridge Trail toward Glogghüs. In winter, the area is part of the Hasliberg ski area.

In June, you can see beautiful flowers here, such as mountain houseleek, cotton grass, pansies, gentians, leopard's bane, bluebells, buttercups, white hellebores, various orchids, etc. If you keep your eyes open, you might also spot some marmots here.

The Käserstatt mountain station at 1,840 m above sea level in the middle of the mountain panorama of the Haslital. The mountain restaurant is located right next to the 6-seater Wasserwendi gondola and is an ideal starting point for hikes and winter sports activities. Here you can enjoy regional specialties on the sun terrace of the fairly new mountain restaurant. We are here in winter. Käserstatt can also be reached by a longer hike from Wasserwendi or Hohfluh on foot via winter hiking trails. It serves as a hub for various ski slopes.

🚗 Hasliberg is easy to reach from Meiringen. You can arrive by car or public transport. Parking is available near the valley stations of the cable cars. 🚶♂️ There are two adventure trails: the "Dwarf Trail" and the "Adventure Trail". Both trails are child-friendly, well signposted and offer numerous play and adventure stations that bring the stories of Muggenstutz to life. - Dwarf Trail: Starts at the Mägisalp mountain station and leads to the Bidmi. The hike takes about 1.5 hours and is also easy for smaller children. - Adventure Trail: Starts at the Käserstatt mountain station and leads to the Bidmi. The hike takes about 2 hours and offers slightly more challenging sections. 🍽️There are picnic areas and barbecue areas along the hiking trails where you can take a break. 📅 The Muggenstutz hiking trails are open from spring to autumn.
