Ramsberg Castle stands in the territory of the former municipality of Reichenbach unter Rechberg, which has been part of Donzdorf in the Göppingen district of Baden-Württemberg since 1974. The spur castle, along with its associated estate, is situated on a ridge, one of the two southern spurs of the Rehgebirge mountain range. The cycle path along the Fils River has been closed since June 2024 due to a landslide. Initial reconstruction work is currently underway, with a goal of summer 2025. :-( After a major effort by the construction company, the Fils Valley Cycle Path along the Fils River near Kuchen has been fully open to traffic again since March 30, 2025.
